Palliative care externship
The Advanced Palliative Care Nursing Externship is a free, week-long mentored immersion course with national faculty in an established and well-recognized palliative care program.
APRNs are part of the solution for access to palliative care in health care reform; however, many APRNs have not had clinical training in palliative care. The goal of this project is to educate APRNs in how to provide palliative care and bring it to their communities. The externship involves small cohorts of 6 participant learners.
