Cancer prevention and control research training
Postdoctoral training in cancer prevention and control research
This two-year flexible program is NIH-funded, offering salaries and research seed money while preparing fellows for an academic career.
Areas of research include (but are not limited to):
- Cancer communication and decision making
- Cancer health care economics
- Cancer survivorship
- Disparities in cancer health care utilization and outcomes
- Community-engaged research in prevention screening in primary care
- behavioral adaptations to cancer
Application and required documents:
Candidates should have a Ph.D, M.D. or both degrees by the start of the fellowship and a commitment to a career as a cancer prevention and control researcher. Applications from women and minorities are encouraged.

- A recent curriculum vitae, including previous research experience, both didactic and practical
- A personal statement describing the reason for seeking research training, specific research interests and career plans
- At least two letters of recommendation, including one from the training director or doctoral committee chairperson/advisor
