Funding state-of–the-art places
The Goodwin Research Laboratory, Massey’s state-of-the-art research facility, has proven to be a magnet for recruiting and retaining the highest caliber of researchers. As we add to our research teams and further develop their programs, additional space is necessary.
Research for Life will:
- Provide our expanding group of physician-scientists and researchers with technologically advanced and efficiently designed research facilities.
- Fund the Massey Research Pavilion—our two floors of dedicated research space in the VCU School of Medicine’s McGlothlin Medical Education Building. These two floors will become the hub of research for hematology/oncology, clinical trials, radiation physics and cancer prevention and control.
- Fund the Shared Resource Laboratory in the McGlothlin Medical Education Building, which will house structural biology and research facilities supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
- Increase research productivity and the efficiency of clinical trials, decreasing the time it takes for ideas to become life-saving realities.
