Our goal is to fund the people, programs and places identified in the Research for Life Campaign. This will allow VCU Massey Cancer Center to become the first National Cancer Institute (NCI) - designated “Comprehensive” Cancer Center in Virginia. Recognition of Massey’s research excellence will be a hallmark achievement of VCU’s Quest for Distinction, the University’s strategic plan to become a premier research institution. Our success will directly benefit our dedicated researchers and clinicians, our community, our patients and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

By attaining comprehensive status, Massey’s resources will grow, Virginians’ access to the greatest cancer expertise and latest breakthroughs will increase and our opportunities to educate and touch the community will multiply. Most importantly, more lives will be saved.
