Massey has joined with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to present nationally recognized experts for a third time. Directed by Diane Baer Wilson, Ed.D., and Brian Cassel, Ph.D., these sessions provide insight into many important aspects of the health and lives of cancer survivors.

We need to talk: Starting a dialogue about cancer in African-American families and churches
Feb. 19, 2009 from 7-9 p.m., St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 2900 Hanes Ave., Richmond, Va.
African-Americans have higher rates of cancer and are more likely to die from this disease. Come join a discussion about how we can make a difference. Join us to learn:
- Why it is important to talk about cancer with family members
- How to learn whether cancer “runs in your family”
- How churches can help maximize cancer survivorship in the African-American community
