Feb. 19, 2009, from 7-9 p.m., St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 2900 Hanes Ave., Richmond, Va.

African-Americans have higher rates of cancer and are more likely to die from this disease. Come join a discussion about how we can make a difference. Join us to learn:

  • Why it is important to talk about cancer with family members
  • How to learn whether cancer “runs in your family”
  • How churches can help maximize cancer survivorship in the African-American community
