Mission

The mission of the Office of Communications and Public Relations is to develop and execute integrated, effective internal and external mass communications, public relations, marketing and branding to support the goals of VCU Massey Cancer Center and its research members and research, clinical and administrative staff. Our services include promoting basic, translational and clinical research as well as faculty awards, honors and events, partnering with the VCU Medical Center’s marketing office to market and advertise clinical oncology services and support community outreach, developing and maintaining Massey’s website, managing Massey’s brand, liaising with the media and securing positive press coverage.

We can provide media interview tips, one-on-one media training, presentation coaching and branding guidelines. We can also assist in the development of talking points, strategic communications plans and a range of printed and electronic marketing materials, such as brochures, press releases, posters, videos, online articles and more. More information about our services is available on the Resources for Massey staff page.
