The Flow Cytometry Shared Resource Core features a comprehensive suite of instrumentation to facilitate your research needs. These include:

Canto - BD FACSCanto™ II Analyzer

The BD FACSCanto™ II located in 4-001 MMRB is equipped with BD FACS carousel loader and 2 lasers (blue: 488 nm, red: 633 nm) allowing the use of up to 7 color simultaneous detection. The BD FACSCANTO II™ analyzer is equipped with a uses FACSDIVA software for acquisition and analysis. DeNovo FCSExpress software is available for remote analysis.

Aria-BD FACSAria™ II High-Speed Cell Sorter

This cell sorter located in 4-001 MMRB is equipped with three lasers (405nm, 488nm, 633nm) allowing the use of 9 color simultaneous detection. Capabilities include various sort nozzle sizes, four-way sorting and single cell cloning.  It is equipped with the temperature control option for the sort sample and collection vials and the BD Aerosol Management System for sorting of potentially biohazard us samples. The sorter uses FACSDIVA software for acquisition/analysis. DeNovo FCSExpress software is available for remote and offline analysis.Please contact core personnel with questions or to schedule a sort.

BSC Aria- BD FACSAria™ II High-Speed Cell Sorter

Our second cell sorter located in 4-001 MMRB is placed inside a Baker BioProtect Hood for sorting of potentially biohazardous samples. 

This sorter is equipped with three lasers (488nm, 633nm, and 375nm) allowing 9 color simultaneous detection. Capabilities include various sort nozzle sizes, four-way sorting and single cell cloning.  It is equipped with the temperature control option for the sort sample and collection vials, and the BD Aerosol Management System for additional containment. The sorter uses FACSDIVA software for acquisition/analysis. DeNovo FCSExpress software is available for remote and offline analysis. FC-500

The FC500 located in 327 KMSB is equipped with 2 lasers (488nm, 633nm) allowing 5 color simultaneous detection. This analyzer uses CXP software for acquisition/analysis. DeNovo FCSExpress software is available for remote and offline analysis.

 

XL - Beckman Coulter Epics XL-MCL

In addition to our front-line instruments, the flow core maintains an Elite XL-MCL single-laser flow cytometer suitable for the majority of common flow cytometry applications, including immunofluorescence and DNA analysis, cell viability studies, and mitochondrial analyses. The XL located in 327 KMSB is equipped with 1 laser (488nm) allowing 4 color simultaneous detection. This analyzer uses EXPO32 software for acquisition/analysis. DeNovo FCSExpress software is available for remote and offline analysis.

TopCount

Microplate luminesence counting services are available with our PerkinElmer TopCount microplate reader.

 

BiaCore T200 Surface Plasmon Resonance

Surface plasmon resonance is a method which allows the label-free study of protein interactions. We support these analytic methods with our BiaCore T200 SPR platform.
