There is more hope now than ever for those diagnosed with breast cancer. One reason is because of programs like Pink Ribbons of Hope.
This program is a series of events, including golf, bridge, tennis, mah jongg, bunco and squash, which raise money specifically for breast cancer research at Massey. The events take place at country clubs, athletics clubs and community centers around the Richmond area.
In 2008, the Pink Ribbons of Hope events raised $208,000 — thanks to the many volunteers, donors and staff who gave their time and resources. Events were hosted during August, September and October at the Country Club of Virginia, Westwood Racquet Club, Avalon Recreation Association, Brandermill Country Club and Meadowbrook Country Club.
