Complementary therapies

Integrative medicine involves treating the body, mind and spirit. In addition to a variety of patient resources, such as physical therapists specializing in cancer recovery, licensed social workers, psychological counseling, pain and symptom management, free legal and financial assistance, free head-wear, in-hospital pharmacy services, lodging assistance, support groups and more, VCU Massey Cancer Center offers a variety of complementary therapies designed to help relieve stress, incorporate healthy lifestyle practices and make life easier so that patients can focus on recovery.

VCU Massey Cancer Center has partnered with the Downtown YMCA to offer quarterly exercise classes for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.
