Massey physicians receive Best Bedside Manner Awards for fifth consecutive year

VCU Massey Cancer Center physicians were again recognized by Our Health Richmond magazine's annual Best Bedside Manner Awards for the compassionate care, empathy and attentiveness that they provide to their patients. In May 2017, over 35,000 local individuals voted for medical providers in more than 50 medical specialties. 

Gordon Ginder, M.D., director of Massey, received honorable mention for Hemtology/Oncology. Timothy Harris, M.D., Ph.D., radiation oncologist at Massey, was awarded first place in the Radiation Oncology category and Danielle Noreika, M.D., medical director of the Thomas Palliative Care Unit at Massey, won first place for Palliative Medicine. Shiyu Song, M.D., Ph.D., radiation oncologist at Massey, won third place for Radiation Oncology.

Andrea Pozez, M.D., plastic surgeon at Massey and chair of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at VCU Medical Center, received honorable mention for Plastic Surgery: Reconstruction and Daniel Luppens, M.D., plastic surgeon at Massey, earned the same honor for the Plastic Surgery: Cosmetic category.
