My research is focused on symptoms and distress associated biological signatures and the relationship to health outcomes in patients with cancer, specifically acute leukemia. My research also includes the effect of a hematologic malignancy diagnosis on family members. I work with an interdisciplinary team of scientists and clinicians to advance symptom science to ultimately ameliorate symptoms and improve health outcomes for patients and their families in oncology and palliative care settings.
