My group is interested in epithelial homeostasis, specifically, the role of mechanical forces required to maintain 3D epithelial structure. Our work focuses on cell-cell junctions and the nucleus. Recently, we identified the nuclear LINC complex as a critical structure for organizing epithelial cysts; loss of this structure results in collapse of the lumen.
