Our research focuses on the signaling pathways through the BCL-2 family proteins, which regulate cell death/survival and are important for tumorigenesis and the response to a variety of chemotherapeutic drugs. In particular, we have demonstrated the role of the BH3-only pro-death BCL-2 family proteins in various chemotherapeutic responses in leukemia, breast, lung, and head and neck cancer.
